Glow Hard Or Go Home

I've always been obsessed with dewy, glowing, healthy looking skin so here's my favourite tips, tricks and products to help achieve the look.

There is no doubt that the best way to get healthy skin naturally is by eating the right foods and most importantly, drinking water. I myself sometimes struggle to drink enough water but when I do I can notice an improvement in my skin and even my hair. However if you're looking for a quick fix or ways to enhance your natural glow then these are the products I would recommend.

MAC Strobe Cream - The product itself is very versatile so you can use it in many ways. For example, you can mix it in with your foundation, apply on top of your foundation onto the high points of your face or you can use the product in my preferred method, which is before foundation.
After i've let my moisturiser sink into my skin I like to apply the strobe cream all over my face. I've used 'strobe creams' in the past however I find that most of them tend to break me out which is something no one wants when they want a nice glow.

The foundation you use obviously depends on your skin type so chose one that is best suited for you. I like using a foundation that isn't too matte and isn't too dewy just because I don't want to be looking oily and I can always add highlighter after if i'm not happy with how my skin is looking. On a day to day basis I currently like to use a mix of MAC Studio Fix Fluid and NARS Sheer Glow just because this gives me the best coverage and matches my skin tone well. On days where I would like lighter coverage, I tend to use MAC Face & Body.

My favourite part of my makeup routine is highlighting the high points of my face. If you were going for an intense highlighted look then this is when you could add a liquid highlight to your cheek bones, brow bone, bridge of your nose and cupids bow and then set with a highlighting powder. However if you wanted to go for a slightly less intense look then I would use powder highlights alone.
My favourite powders for this are the Mary Lou Manizer by theBalm and Champagne Pop by Becca. I tend to layer the two together to achieve the look I go for. I like to start with Champagne pop on all the high points of my face and then I like to add Mary Lou Manizer just to my cheek bones as this is a more intense highlight.

This step is crucial. After i've finished adding my highlighters they can look a bit powdery and not as blended into my skin as I would like - after all, we want to look like we're glowing from within. This is when I would recommend using some sort of setting spray, my favourite is MAC Fix+. I swear by this product, it makes my skin look so much better as everything just blends into the skin and in a way makes your makeup look a lot more natural and not harsh.

Remember, "Glowing skin is always in"
