I have lived in Southampton for nearly three years now and have only visited Bournemouth twice before this post. Considering it's only a 45 minute drive to the beach, i'm surprised I haven't been more as it's nice to take advantage of living near the beach whilst I can. 

Yesterday me and my housemate Sarah decided to take a trip to Bournemouth as we didn't have much else planned for the day. First we ended up going to Castle Point thinking it was the town centre so we went back into the car determined to find the shops near the beach. Once we had got there we decided to go for some lunch before going out and exploring what Bournemouth has to offer. I had never been to Zizzi's before so we decided to head into there where we had am amazing three course lunch. To my surprise, Zizzi's actually do student discount so we ended up saving 40% off our whole bill! 

Once we left Zizzi's it started to rain but it was fairly light so we decided to go walk through the gardens which were beautiful before heading to the arcade as the rain started to get heavier. 

We couldn't go to Bournemouth and not go to the beach, lucky for us, at this point the rain had stopped so we took a little stroll on the beach which was nice and even went and stood in the sea.
